What mess?

I am not so good with the mess...the mess that comes with paint all mixed together dripping off the easel, bright red playdough ground into the carpet, or liquid watercolor staining the smooth gray tabletops.  Given 20 kids twice a day, the mess can easily get out of hand.  But I know this about myself, and I am making an honest effort to allow MORE of a mess in my classroom. I don't want to worry about the paints getting all muddied and mixed together, or how much rice is on the floor.  Anymore.  I want to create that experience that might catch something inside.  Maybe just a little, for now anyway.
